The film embodies the spirit of collaboration, driven by commitment rather than commercial constraints, showing that a great story and thrilling action sequences can emerge from sheer determination and artistic ambition. Despite a limited budget, RED BIRD delivers high-energy action fueled by an unyielding passion and boundless creativity.

 

The film pays homage to the legacy of Jackie Chan and martial arts cinema, placing stunt performers at the heart of the spectacle. It seeks to shine a light on the skill and dedication of these often-unsung artists, celebrating their craft through dynamic fight choreography and breathtaking stunts. RED BIRD was filmed in just 19 days, a remarkable feat that showcases the team’s dedication and efficiency. Shot entirely in Marseille, France, the production wrapped on January 5, 2025, after an intense but exhilarating shoot. The city’s unique architecture and atmosphere provided a striking backdrop for the film’s gripping action sequences.

SYNOPSIS

​

Maximilien Abadie learns of the sudden and mysterious death of his father, Alex. The official reports classify it as a tragic car accident—one seemingly caused by Alex himself, a simple case of reckless driving. But Max knows better. His father was no ordinary man. A disciplined and deeply committed police officer, Alex Abadie was respected—and feared—for his ruthless efficiency and his unyielding pursuit of justice. What few knew, however, was that Alex also operated in the shadows under the alias "Red Bird," took on the city's most elusive and dangerous cases when the law could not.

 

Max, deeply unsettled by the inconsistencies in the official report, becomes convinced that the accident was staged and that the truth is being covered up. Determined to uncover what really happened, he approaches Franck, the seasoned police chief and one of Alex’s few trusted allies. Alongside him is Julien, a younger but equally sharp colleague who discreetly passes Max a fragmented case file—one that leads to an explosive and classified investigation known only as Project Stardust. Project Stardust wasn’t just another case. It was a high-risk, covert operation targeting the very core of the city’s drug empire. Alex had been on the brink of exposing something massive—something dangerous—when he died.

 

Fueled by grief and an overwhelming desire for justice, Max partners with his lifelong friend Sam. Together, they dive headfirst into the labyrinth of corruption, betrayal, and violence that swallowed Alex whole. But as Max follows the trail, his mission of vengeance begins to evolve.
